Halloween with Baalatova and friends

Hello, dear friends and followers,

It's been a very long time since my last post.  First, there was WAR; then health issues among close family members. Finally, I decided to stop worrying and get on with my life.  Worrying alone helps none.

Baalatova, the ancient witch, Solly, the flying teddy bear, and Kitty, the beautiful cat girl. were having a perfectly pleasant, messy Halloween morning when, out of the blue, a purple envelope landed. It read "Surprise Visit".   The notification came from Baalatova's ancient, terrifyingly strict older sister, Baalatroa, the witch, famous for running her fingers over cauldrons to check for dust.

Total panic ensued. Baalatroa was due to arrive in exactly two hours.  Baalatova immediately started cleaning. Solly and Kitty tried to help, but they were confused and afraid of the unknown evil visitor.

Meanwhile, Baalatova attempted to cook Baalaroa's favorite traditional dish, eyeball soup. Naturally, in her frantic rushing, she misread the spellbook and forgot to light a fire under the cauldron.

Two hours later, the house was an absolute disaster zone.  Baalatova gathered Solly and Kitty and moved them out to the garden, waiting for her sister to arrive.

Suddenly, with a tiny POOF, another envelope materialized.  Baalatova opened it with trembling hands.

"Baalatova, darling. My broomstick's 'check-magic' light just started flashing, and the mechanic says it needs a new transmission twig. So tedious. I simply cannot travel today. Visit canceled.  Let's try again in a hundred years or so."

Baalatova let out a massive sigh of relief and cheerfully promised her pets to transform them into ghosts just for this Halloween night. All three look forward to going BOOing.

I wish you all a pleasant Sunday and a happy crafting week ahead.

  2. Dear Drora,
What a magical and comforting story! Reading this was like entering a world where light always triumphs over darkness and worry.
Through your enchanting story and your breathtaking miniatures, you reminded me of such a powerful lesson: when fear, worries, or hard times knock on our door, we can choose to set them aside, step back, and send them away—at least for another hundred years!
Leaving pressure behind and choosing creativity, warmth, and hope is the best medicine for the soul. Thank you for sharing your wonderful imagination and heart with me again. I missed your posts so much!
May we all keep pushing away fears and filling our lives with peace, health, and joy.

  4. Dear Drora, what a wonderful story! It is great to see you posting here! My car's "check engine light" has been playing tricks on me too... so I understand the issue! I am so glad Baalatova got her reprieve and all the pets went Booing! This really made me smile! I think of you often. :)
