1:48" Sink unit

Hello dear readers,

I solved the matter of the tiny sink by installing the pill bubble.  Can't believe it's done.

This is how it looks from the back if I want to install a thin fabric curtain. But it looks fine as it is from the front.

The counter is made of Fimo.

Did you know making tiny wooden pieces of furniture can be addictive ? I got
carried away and while I had all the stuff (wooden craft sticks) out in the open, decided to make and have ready some gifts for my friends. The Holidays season is suddenly not so far away. These could make nice items for a toy shop or a doll's corner in a nursery.

There is still work to do before completing the indoor decoration of the tiny cottage.  I hope to be
able to show you the completed project next post.

Have a wonderful Sunday with my blessings

1:48" scale furniture (contd.)

Hello dear readers,

When I started crafting these tiny pieces, I never thought they would consume so much time.
I was inspired by my "Bavarian" 1:12" furniture and this is what came out.

Here are the "Bavarians",  awaiting to become a project one day.

This one is going to be the sink unit

The sink will (hopefully) be a pill bubble.

I wish you all a wonderful Sunday with my blessings.

Furniture for the 1:48" cottage

Hello dear readers,

Finally, I got to start making the furniture for the little cottage.  I have plastic items in this scale, but I prefer making wood and furbished ones.  Here are some of the first ones.

The table and chairs are made from wooden craft sticks.  The kitchen range too.
The armchair is made of felt covered with cotton fabric.

Next I plan to make a sink and shelves plus utensils for the kitchen. It takes more time
than I planned. I hope I won't get fed up and use the plastic furniture at the end.

The other day I saw a picture reminding me of  Carmen's baby dolls which she
generously sent to many of us bloggers around the world.

It's still too hot here.  Yesterday was the hottest day in years. I bless who ever invented air-conditioning.

A warm welcome to my new follower,  The Purple Assassin, with a very interesting blog.

Blessings to you all

A dressing table for the vanity chair

Hello again,

The poor lonely chair, reminded me that somewhere in my stash a broken dressing table awaited repair.

I painted it shabby white, added some beads for handles and decorated it with gifts from Tatiana, Maria  and  Faby.

Here it is with the vanity chair I made last Tuesday.

It has been a very lucky week for me.  The birthday present from my two daughters arrived.  It is two, made to order, perspex  clear covers for my miniature scenes.  They are large pieces and help me keep my work dust free.

My grandson Gilad returned from vacation in Switzerland and brought me these adorable Swiss clocks (Magnets).  Aren't they cute?  The smaller the gifts are, the happier they make me.

A very warm welcome to Stulmanka.  Thank you for following this blog.

Blessings to all

New meeting between the local miniaturists

Hello dear readers,

Today is going to be a long post.  The meeting, as expected was exciting and very happy. It was held at Goldies home.  Besides being a great artist and teacher, Goldie is a wonderful, generous hostess.
We spent a lovely time working together. Here are some photos of the result.

Vanity chairs and metal chairs.  Goldie taught us how to create the vanity chairs.  We made
one each.  Not all of them shown here.

Sarit taught us how to create the metal chair without the use of soldering.  You can see one
in the first photo.  I must confess this one is a little tricky.  I hope to be able to finish mine here at home.

Here we are deep in work

You have seen many photos of Goldie's work in my previous posts.  Here are two I particularly love and the third is her latest scene in a lamp, discarded by a friend.

This is a very impressive magazine stand in a lamp.

And of course, there were swaps.  Mine are two very pretty hand made bags with two pairs of
doll's shoes.

One of the girls brought along minis she no longer had use for and we each picked up items we
wanted.  I chose kitchen furniture. Lucky me!

All these pieces of furniture will need painting over.  I do not like the color but
they are nicely made with opening doors and sliding drawers and it will be worth
the trouble.  I love the table.

It is incredible hot in Israel.  The air conditioners in our home are on day and night.  I go out only if it's absolutely necessary. I hope you, my dear readers, enjoy better summer days.

Blessings to you all
