Dear readers,
Sorry, I'm late posting about Easter, but I do want to let you know that my family and I are all well. We keep our fingers crossed, waiting and praying for the return of the remaining captives and for the war to finally stop.
Here is a rather silly story about the Easter Bunny, which caused me to burst out laughing,
Once upon a time, there was a man who was peacefully driving down a windy road. Suddenly, a bunny skipped across the road, and the man couldn't stop. He hit the bunny head-on.
The man quickly jumped out of his car to check the scene. There, lying lifeless in the middle of the road, was the Easter Bunny.
The man cried out, "Oh no! I have committed a terrible crime! I have run over the Easter Bunny!" The man started sobbing quite hard and heard another car approaching.
It was a woman in a red convertible. The woman stopped and asked what the problem was.
The man explained, "I have done something horribly sad. I have run over the Easter Bunny. Now there will be no one to deliver eggs on Easter, and it's all my fault."
The woman ran back to her car. A moment later, she came back carrying a spray bottle. She ran over to the motionless bunny and sprayed it.
The bunny immediately sprang up, ran into the woods, stopped, and waved back at the man and woman. Then it ran another 10 feet, stopped, and waved. Every 10 feet, the bunny stopped and waved until the man and the woman could no longer see it.
Once out of sight, the man exclaimed, "What is that stuff in that bottle?"
The woman replied, "It's harespray. It revitalizes hare and adds permanent waves."
Hugs and blessings

Dear Drora, It is good to know you and your family are all well. I, too, always hope the war will end. The bunny story is very funny! I will think of it every time I hear "hairspray" mentioned! I especially like the permanent waves! :):)
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful spring.
me alegra mucho saber que con tu familia estáis todos bien ...!
ReplyDeleteThank you for this lovely and most of all funny story - in these sad and crazy times we can use every good laugh we can get... and of of course permanent waves. And now let's all add a bottle of hairspray... eh... harespray to our car equipment!
ReplyDeleteIt's good to hear you and your family are well. However... as I'm once more dropping by very late there are meanwhile some frightening and alarming developments in your country like the bomb at Tel Aviv airport. Once more hope fades away...
In my country we're not only facing a new government but are also looking back to the 80th return of the end of World War II. Sadly my home state Schleswig-Holstein plays a big role in the last days of the Nazi regime... especially because Karl Dönitz, announced by Hitler before he committed suicicde to be the new head of state, established his government in the town of Flensburg... attracting many important Nazis who hoped to esape from the allies like for example Himmler. Regarding that the end of all this insanity was only a few days away it is shocking to remember the amount of crime to humanity happening in only a few days like the Death marches because the prisoners of the concentration camps should not be found by the British soldiers. And not to forget the bombardement of the SS Cap Arcona by the British air force... they thought there were important Nazis on board trying to escape but in fact there were thousands of prisoners from the concentration camps on it which the Nazis wanted not to be found... it was May 3rd in 1945 when about 5000 innocent prisoners lost their lives in the Baltic Sea near Lübeck... so tragical because from May 8th on they would have been free people. I'm only mentioning this because it drives me crazy that we did not learn anything... wherever I look, freedom and humanity are in danger and whenever we get one step towards some kind of hope we need to hop ten steps back next.
Sorry for letting some of my frustration out here... I should better get myself some harespray now for lasting waves... ;O)
Hugs
Birgit
