Good news - the straw stands go to the exhibition

Hello dear readers

At long last, the curator of the Jaffa Museum came to visit and check my miniatures.  Guess what?
Not only the straw market was chosen but five more other stalls - wool stall  hand bags stall , second-hand vintage stand, vegetable and fruit stand and flowers stand. All will be displayed as one large market. There is work to be done.

But that's not all.  My paintings gallery, the little dollhouse in a teabox, a roombox with Felma's beautiful dress and other friends' gifts - and five shop facades were also chosen for the exhibition which will open on 1 August 2014.

Thank you my friends who held fingers crossed for me.  It helped!

My giveaway is exactly a week away, still time for followers to join in.

A warm welcome to my new followers Assarnucat,  Carol.  Thank you for following.

Blessings to all

Eva's surprise giveaway

Dear friends,

I was the lucky winner of Eva's 700 followers giveaway.  Look what lovely miniatures Eva sent me.

Isn't this cute! Made me laugh aloud when I opened the parcel.

I love the pillow.  I already have a small collection of pillows all made by friends. One day I'll photo all of them together and show you. The potted flowers are already in my shed.

A lovely perfume bottle,  a cupcake poster and beautiful  bowl with lid.

A lovely box and some trinkets.

THANK YOU EVA.  I love all my new treasures.

A warm welcome to my new follower Joseph Buchel.  Thank you for following.

I wish you all a lovely Sunday and a wonderful, creative week.  Blessings

Tiny Bay house completed

Hello all,

Mini gardening was great fun. Of course it's frustrating not being able not to sneeze, cough or even breath
or the tiny petals and leaves will  scatter away and picking them up from unexpected corners takes time.  I believe the results were worth the trouble.

For the driveway I used small pieces of sea shells. They look like pebbles.  I wish they were
smaller. Now when I look at the photo they seem out of size.

Luckily I had these really tiny (railroad size) garden furniture which are perfect for this terrace.

I used the stem from a bunch of grapes for the tree.  Small pieces of green  foam were glued
on it for foliage.

These are the three punches that were used to make flowers and leaves.  By the way,
I even used the tiny circles from the blue punch to make tiny flowers.  These, when not
cupped, make mini confetti.

The wooden flower boxes are made from matches.

I wish there were more projects like this one. They are fun to make and take little space.

Hugs and blessings to all my dear readers.

Simona's gift (continued)

Hello dear readers,

Remember the gift I received from Simona? It was a model bay house kit which I have now completed
assembling and painting.  Now only the fun part remains - the landscaping.  I hope to be able to work
on it within the next few days.

For the base for the house I used and Ikea wooden frame which I covered with mat board and glued on
a grass resembling paper.

It's a very tiny house and the only addition will be outdoor decoration.  I'll show again when
finished.  I'll try to cover some of the little faults by climbing plants, etc.

A warm welcome to Carmen Landy and Isabel Manzano.  Dear Isabel I cannot find your blog. Please
let me know so I can follow if I don't already do so.

I wish you all a wonderful weekend and creative week with my blessings.

New giveaway

Hello dear readers,

I promised you a giveaway to celebrate my coming birthday, early next June. This time it's toys as in
the picture.

If you like my toys and  wish to participate in the draw please comment on this post.  The draw
is open to old and new followers only.  Comments can be made until June 4 closing time.

A toy shelf, a Matriushka doll, dinosaur on wheels and a straw mat for children to play on.

Straw mat.

Dinosaur on wheels. (You can paint details on it.)

Wooden matriyoshka.

Tiny toys in shelf.

No news yet about my straw market.  The museum curator, where a show of miniature scenes is planned for next August,  postponed her visit to a later date. It's a bit disappointing because I worked under great pressure to finish it on time.  Shall keep you informed.

Have a wonderful creative week my friends.  Blessings to all.

Third market stand completed

Hello my dear readers,

Murphy's law says that if you want something done quickly, give it to the busiest person, which is me now. Tomorrow, Thursday, 8 May, is the deadline and I'm almost ready with my market.  I'll tell you all about it when it's over. In Hebrew the market's name sounds cute - SHOOK HAKASH.  Market is Shook. Straw is Kash. The is Ha. (There is no the in Hebrew, Ha in front of the word replaces it.) Stall and goods are all made by me.

"Straw" bags, hats and shoes made from raffia.

Stall filled with goods.

In the market box.

The market almost completed.  It's just left to fix the stalls shelves and hanging rods firmly in place.

After tomorrow I'll know if it'll be chosen to be exhibited in a special show.

Hold your fingers crossed for me.

Blessings

Giveaway win from Carmen

Hello dear readers,

Today I received the precious giveaway I won from Carmen.  Beautiful miniatures all crafted by this very
talented lady.  Carmen is one of the most generous, friendly and favorite persons on the blogs, who very often gives away wonderful prizes.

Fresh eggs, two loaves of fresh bread and a potholder hanging from this adorable egg shelf.

Whoops! Three eggs dropped down and broke.  Sorry Carmen, clumsy me.

Look at these realistic broken egg shells.  Such awesome work!

Tubby cat couldn't just stand by.  He had to come investigating.

Beautiful wall plates.  I love Carmen's plates.  I already have some and these will be great additions to cherish.

Thank you Carmen. I'm delighted with your gifts.  I'll have to make a pantry or cellar scene to display your wonderful gifts in it. (Inspiration for a future project.)

Early next month is my birthday.  Celebrating a birthday is a little compensation for getting one year older.
As usual I'll have a giveaway.  Stay tuned, soon I'll show and post about it.

A warm welcome to AM and Martha.  Thank you for following.

This night, begin the 66th State of Israel celebrations.  We are going out to have dinner with friends so I'm
off to dress up for the occasion and part with you with my blessings.

The second of the three market stands completed

Hello all.

Having to meet a dead line, with a week left, is an enormous task although I think I have accomplished
a lot since my last post.

First I made several sized "straw" rugs from Casita Mini tutorial see link here.

Then I made two garden chairs, brooms and carpet beaters.

The second stall is filled with baskets and hats, some of  them are gifts from Jennifer and
Rosa Margarita.

Only the third stall remains to be filled.  It will be mostly miniatures crafted by me and I have very little time to work with miniatures before May 8.

Tuesday,  next week we'll be celebrating our Independence Day and the whole day is already booked up by friends and family.

A warm welcome to my new followers, Eemaiva and Ta_pozzo.

Have a wonderful weekend my friends with my blessings.
