Ceasefire

 Hello dear readers,

It's been a very long time since my last post. I simply couldn't bring myself to write and describe my frustrated thoughts and feelings when the war was going on here.

Finally, after the last few days of unrelenting tension, all of our surviving captives have returned home from captivity.

Of the 28 hostages who did not survive, only 4 were returned in coffins. We are anxiously awaiting the return of 24.

I'll be happy to blog regularly with renewed energy and creativity.

To all my friends and readers, blessings and hugs!

  8. It's a most welcome side effect of the ceasefire to see you back here! ;O)

Yes, it was wonderful breaking news when it was announced that the last surviving hostages could finally return home. However, nobody will ever understand what it means to fear for your life over two years... and what their families and friends had to go through. And these are two years of their lives which they lost to fear, pain, panic and tears... and it will have a major impact on the rest of their lives.

And it's heartbreaking news that apart from what was promised not all dead hostages were brought home. It is beyond my imagination what this must mean for their families who began to hope they would finally at last be able to bury their dear ones and to finally pay them their lest respects...

Let's hope that better times are on their way...

    Hugs
    Birgit
