Hello dear readers,
It so happens that all my free time is now devoted to making nutshell homes for gnomes. Already
made and gave away 11 but requests for more keep pilling up. Boring as it is, they all
want gnome homes. OK, so the snowmen, nativities, fairytales, and other ideas will have to wait. Good thing there's still time till Chrismas.
I need more walnuts, preferable fresh ones which are hard to get here. My daughter Galia
promised to get me at least 20.
Grouped the little houses before separating them. They look so pretty together.'
like a tiny village. Also made some trees from bits of scrap sponges.
Remember the kiln-fired clay houses? This was before transformation.
Made seven gnomes for the seven empty nutshells.
The one on the left side is too large for the shell. He'll be sitting on a flower pot soon.
A town's neighborhood. (smile)
I wish you a great week ahead with blessings.

I like your gnome homes, Drora, the gnomes themselves look so adorable. I can imagine that people want one of them ;). But I LOVE your gorgeous kiln-fired clay houses in this tiny villages, it's fantastic work. Blessings and hugs, Ilona
ReplyDeleteOh Drora the houses and gnomes are wonderful! I don't know how you work in such a tiny scale and manage to get them looking so detailed and full of personality!
ReplyDeleteI hope that enough walnuts find their way to you to fill all of the orders, as these are special treasures and each one a marvel to behold!
I hope that making them is fulfilling all of the creative calling in you and that you are finding true enjoyment in the process!
lindos trabajos!
ReplyDeleteNo se que me gusta más si los gnomos o las casitas . Todo es adorable.

Me encantan todas esas casitas agrupadas, es realmente un pequeño pueblo.
ReplyDeleteLos enanitos están genial !!!!
I'm really not surprised that the request for your fantastic walnut scenes is still rising - they're way too cute to resist them. See it as a mission to make people see your miniaturist hobby with different eyes *smile* Nevertheless I can understand that there are many other ideas waiting eagerly to come to life - but as you said, there's still time until Christmas. Not as much as for example Fluby would hope for but hopefully enough for your snowmen and nativities. I really want to see them! *tweet*
ReplyDeleteYour house scenes are stunning - what a sight to have them all together as Tiny Town. And how great your kiln-fired houses turned out - I'm wishing you loads of fun with more of this!
Hugs
