Hello again,
Only a few days left before we celebrate our Pessah (Passover) Holiday. I can't see the logic of feverish house cleaning before this holiday when we are supposed to eat Mazzot, (dry sheets of crackers} which crumble easily and makes a great mess. Imagine a home full of children scattering crumbles for 7 days. Common sense tells me that better clean when the holidays are over. But tradition requires a clean and sparkling home for Pessah and who am I to oppose it.
While doing my part, cleaning and putting order in my work room, I found these little Pizza box-
separating plastic tables. Before throwing them away, I had a sudden idea to try and recycle them.
This is my first attempt of making eggshell mosaic. Now that I've done it, I know it could look
better if I used a layer of Jesso instead of tacky glue. One learns from experience. By the way, this could be a good occupation for the young ones, turning trash to treasure.
It will make a nice garden table. I want to add a mosaic bench but I have to get back to my spring
cleaning. There are so many things you could do with eggshell mosaic but alas, everyday life demanding work leaves little free time to enjoy doing it.
Blessings to you all

A very nice table! And yes over here in a few days there will be Easter and just like in your country we over here usually make spring cleaning before holidays too. :) Hugs
ReplyDeleteDear Drora, I find your little eggshell table adorable what a great Idea :)
ReplyDeleteHappy cleaning days :):)
Warm hugs Mieke xxx
Your eggshell table is a wonderful idea and turned out very lovely... and I bet you will find a nice use for this beauty. Btw the table you've used as a base made me smile reminding me of the one you've sent me which is now owned by Rosey. I can truly understand your point about Pessah cleaning - maybe you can keep the little ones busy with eggshell crafting and the bigger ones with the vacuum cleaner... *grin*

Hello Drora! Your trash turned to real beauty! Did you really made mosaic from egg shell? Coincidentally our mini club is planing to make mosaics at our next meeting. I'm planing to make garden table. We are making mosaics from card board (paint samples). Let's see if we succeed as well you. Drora, I am on my winter holiday.. and I also have my spring cleaning to do. So, let's get started! And after we'll have a nice cup of coffee! Ok? :)
ReplyDeleteDearest Drora, somehow I couldn't get my comment thru to your giveaway post. If you'll find later my ten tries please delete them. But of course leave one: I would love to enter to your beautiful giveaway♥
ReplyDeleteHappy Passover! And good luck with the house cleaning!
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to do an egg shell mosaic for some time. I have some egg shells put aside - although the first lot of egg shells I collected were eaten by one of my dogs and I had to start all over again.
