There is nothing more thrilling than a surprise unexpected gift. In our post box downstairs awaited a letter from Monika with two perfect tiny gifts. This touching gesture filled me with emotion. It's the fact that Monika thought about me and sent gifts she created by her own hands that makes these gifts double precious to me. This can only happen only in our blogland and Monika is one of the persons who makes it so good to be here. THANK YOU MONIKA!!! I LOVE THE BOOK AND SWEET CHOCOLATE!
We are celebrating here the Passover Holiday which is also called the Spring Holiday. Our country side is beautiful this time, green after a rainy season. I'd like to share with you these pictures of gorgeous and very rare flowers. I wish I could tell you where they can be found or at least their names but I really don't know. A friend emailed these photos to me.
Isn't Nature the greatest artist?
Blessings

Dear Drora! The gifts are lovely! A most thoughtful friend. I have never in all my life seen such beautiful and fascinating flowers. I think we can fairly say that God is the greatest artist of all time and everything else is an imitation. The flower that has a face on it is amazing. There are a few of them that look like birds. I wish I knew where they come from.
ReplyDeleteYour gifts are beautiful! Blogland is full of lovely people. All the flowers are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThose are some lovely flowers Drora, but it looks like there is a master of disguise hiding among those photos. 5th flower from the top is really a well camouflaged insect. Some kind of Mantis. The 'petals' are it's arms and it's head is the center. We have similar ones in the U.S Not as colorful though...
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Drora, only in blogland and in this particular community we are so lucky to be a part of :). Even me making a gift for a real life friend is rare although I have made for my friends here.
ReplyDeleteMonika is a dera friend. The kind we cherish with all our hearts/ Her gifts are very sweet.
As usual, the art you choose to share today , they are just outstanding! Mother Nature, she is unsurpassable! :):)
Congratulations on your lovely gifts, they fit right in your scala. Impressive beautiful flowers, they look like something from a fantasy. I can still be so impressed by nature. Flower No 2 looks like a lion's head in the flower. Thanks for showing.

Congrats on receiving these lovely gifts from Monika - she's such a darling. And thank you very much for these beautiful and stunning pictures. Mother Nature is the most powerful magician and her imagination has no limits. It's impressive to see the beauty of nature at your place of the world, the variety of wild orchids is amazing for me being from Germany. We don't have many wild ones and they're often small and always rare. But I can help you with the white one in the middle - I know this one from garden shop catalogues, in Germany we call this orchid a birdflower, its Latin name is Habenaria radiata - but I would prefer to call her wonder of nature...
