Yes, I know - there are still pending projects to be completed, but I couldn't resist making a little cottage for a few plastic 1:48" furniture pieces I have at hand. This will be my first 2013 work.
It's funny, when I first started this hobby one of the advantages was that minis don't require much space.
Now they take up too much space, so I went on to half scales and now to a quarter scale......next we shall have to move out and let the minis stay.
The kitchen table is 1:12" .
Here the fun begins. I intend to make it a two stories cottage. I'll keep posting about my progress.
Meanwhile here are some photos of gorgeous glass art by a master glass artist, Robert Mickelsen. I hope you'll enjoy them as much as I did.
Blessings to all

Hello Drora,
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little house are you making
The glass art I find very interesting to see
Greetings Xandra
Hi Drora! It´s the same here: I also use to tell friends that making minis is a great hobby as it doesnt require much space, but when they come here again after a while they are always surprised how much space is already occupied again ! This little cottage is a fun project and the furniture is very beautiful, too! But soooo tiny, wow! The glass objects are pieces of art, I especially like the white ones. Thanks for showing! Have a wonderful week! Hugs, Sandra
ReplyDeleteYour little house is gorgeous I cant wait to see more of this project. Lol I know what you mean about mini's taking over. Wow the glass art is stunning I love it.

ReplyDeleteYou are so absolutely right, it takes up so much space. I also have my challenges in finding a place for everything. It's not very big your new project. Exciting. It must be difficult to work in such a small scala. Looking forward to see more.

This is one of the things I really like about blogging... learning that others have exactly the same problems like me - I'm not alone! Yay! (LOL) I'm curious how you're smallsize house will turn out - but one thing is for sure, it will become gorgeous for two reasons: 1. What you've shown so far is lovely and 2. you'll be doing it. And thank you for sharing this amazing glass art, this was breathtaking.

ReplyDeletehahahahaha, Drora, you made me laugh. Now I cannot imagine moving to another place without considering whether it will be enough to fit my minis. I actually thought of leaving the big space for minis while I live in a much smaller one :):).
