Paper Punches

Hello all,

Today  was lucky to find these paper punches, 3 at a very affordable price of a little over five US$.
I just browsed around looking for some acrylic paint when I came across these.  I was so happy with my find that when I was back home, I sat down right away to make flowers.

I think I am addictive to paper punches.  I already own quite a few.  The problem is that it's very
hard to find here good quality ones and even harder to find tiny scale ones.

The large and medium round punches are what I was looking for a long time.  These will
make good paper plates and place mats. The flower punch saved me a lot of time in making these
peonies.

The vase is a very beautiful bead with quite a large hole, suitable for a bunch of flowers.

Continuing the decoration of the Fantasy House

Hello dear readers.

There is very little landscaping to do around this fantasy house, on the other hand there are lots of terrace railings on which flower boxes can be installed.  I've rather neglected this house lately being busy with creating Christmas , Hanukkah and other gifts.

The flower boxes will be installed on the terrace railings on all three floors.  There are still more to make. This is a boring job, but the end results are worth the trouble.

I have trouble  making comments on your posts.  I hope to overcome this problem very soon.

Tali's gifts

I am one of those few grandmothers who receives toys as gifts from her grandchildren.  Tali is my beloved and youngest granddaughter who once in a while, for no special reason, pampers me with
tiny surprises. This is what she happened to find now and couldn't resist purchasing for me.

Very tiny glass cats.

 The Matriyushka doll is so beautiful.  All five figures go one inside the other.  The two tiniest are chics.

Thank you my darling Tali.  No need to tell you how happy I am with your gifts.

Kikka's Surprise Gifts

Hello dear readers

Yesterday our post lady delivered this lovely surprise from Kikka.  It is always a pleasure to receive
gifts from overseas friends but it's delightful when they come unexpected.

An adorable baby cot kit which was very easy to assemble.

Some paper doilies, a very cute candle holder with candle, a paper weight, a cupcake in a triangle
paper box and a very yummy candy bar which vanished promptly.

Look how delicate the paper box is.  It really is amazing how perfect it opens and closes.

It's funny how the paper doilies arrived when I was just trying to crochet ones with very poor results.
I hope with practice, my doilies will get better. The third one already looks a little better.

4th Blog Anniversary Giveaway

Time doesn't stand still.  I can hardly believe it is almost 4 years since I started writing on this blog.

Furniture for the fantasy house

Hello dear readers

These pieces are all I was able to do this week with very little time for minis.

I used match sticks, curved toothpicks, tongue depressors , rectangle woodsies and a pill bubble to make these pieces.  The scale is somewhere between half and quarter inch.

 

New chair beside a 1:12" chair

This stove was a gift from Jennifer. The scale is perfect for the house.  The only problem will be
what kind of water taps to match this style.  I still have to make handles and taps for the sink unit.

These little cuties are rubber erasers which I couldn't resist buying.

All About Skeletons and Ghosts

Hello dear readers,

In my previous post you read about the Skellies' plans to visit the newly built fantasy house.

Skella:  Oh my, is this the house?  So small? How on earth will it be possible for us to enter?

Skelly:   Don't be so disappointed my dear. For the time being, it will be enough to take a peek.

Skella:   Have you noticed, dear, it's already invaded by ghosts.  Rumors travel around too quickly.

Skelly:  You are right.  Maybe they are just as curious as we are.  After all  there is nothing to haunt here.  The house is new, no living soul, except for the  black cat who is more scaring then scared and almost no furniture.  A good house to haunt should be at least a century old.

Skella:   I wonder if  we shrink when we become ghosts.

Skelly:   Ghosts, like skeletons, come in different sizes.  They're boneless and can adjust themselves to match the size of the house they haunt.

Skelly:   Since we're already here, let's have fun and climb up.

Skella:   What are we doing up here?

Skelly:   I have a confession to make.  I always wanted to be a fiddler on a roof.  This, even without the fiddle, feels like a wish comes true.

Skella:    I  long for the day I'll become a ghost. (deep sigh)

Skelly:   So much to look forward to.  (deep sigh)

To be continued, a century later.  ( Or next year?)  Let's look forward to see what this living-happily-forever- after pair will be up to.
