Hello dear readers,
I apologize for neglecting my blog and am trying to get back to posting more often.
Shopping for miniatures in my country is difficult. Although more people adopted this hobby, it seems not enough for miniature shows or shops; therefore, when we do not travel abroad, we buy online. Sometimes I find suitable minis on Temu. This post is about a set of 1/12" scale pretty vases.
My favorite vases are the three in the photo below. I'll start with the one in the middle.
Months ago, I hung a few baby-breath branches. They dried up fine, and I kept them for future crafting. The dead, dried-out flowers were brushed away, and the bare brunch was painted green.
Small white paper flowers and green leaves were glued to the branch and inserted into the vase.
I used my new small flower punch from Temo. It's more expensive than the regular punches but worth its price.
I hope you'll like this vase. I may make some changes, and if I do, I'll show them to you. I'm thinking about a Japanese cherry blossom branch.

I love how you made flowers mixing real branches and paper, the result is great.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing the idea of using real-life flower branches and flowers made of paper. Your flowers in the vase look very beautiful!
ReplyDeleteDear Drora, the vases are really lovely! I am so glad you were able to get them! The flowering branch you made is just gorgeous! Absolutely beautiful and worthy of a Japanese wood-cut print! :):) Keep on making your mini wonders, you are an inspiration to many! :):):)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful vases and the flowers are fantastic too
ReplyDeleteMe encanta como has creado las flores y lo bonitas que quedan,
ReplyDeleteWow Drora! These vases are great finds and your arrangement of the Japanese cherry blossoms has made this one absolutely beautiful! I love the bright green and white together!
ReplyDeleteAs ever, I am so impressed at you workmanship on teeny, tiny flowers and leaves. Great idea to use the saved branches!
First of all thanks for giving me a broad smile - I really think it's funny that you're apologizing for not posting for some time. I really wish I would already have made at least one post this year - and you have even two! My, that's productive and there's no need to apologize! *LOL* Sadly I lack even the time for being creative as I'm either dealing with winter issues or with recovering my sore bones from winter issues... and there's more cold white stuff to come down next week. While I was shoveling snow this morning a lady walked by the other side of the street and after greeting me (I didn't know her but villagers are friendly greeters) she shouted "I hate winter!" I have no need for any changes or additions to this statement of hers... *grin*
ReplyDeleteThe vases you've bought are a perfect find... and I have no doubt the punch will be of great use for you. I have a similar one and they are so much more convenient for punching tiny pieces. And I really love your first vase with the cherry flower branch... looks like you're perfectly prepared to celebrate Hanami. ;O)
Hugs
Birgit
