Hello again
There is a problem with the trailers roof. A mat plastic within the white frame looks really better than a clear plastic. but the second enables a far better view of the indoors.
I have not yet glued it on and ask your opinion.
Mat roof which allows light but not view.
Clear roof which allows both light and view but looks somewhat unfinished.
I left a few items to be finished at the meeting scheduled for the 31st of Jan. Unfortunately I shall not be able to take part at this meeting. We got notified that a minor operation for my husband will be
on this same date. It was a long waiting list and we don't want to miss it.
On the other hand I'll finish this project within the next days and send photos to the group. In
return I'll get theirs. I'll be very sorry to miss the company of my local friends.
Will soon post again showing photos of the finished project.
Have a wonderful weekend! Blessings!

Great idea! So we can see the interior from top.
ReplyDeleteHola Drora!
ReplyDeleteHi! I think clear roof would be perfec: Everybody could see inside! Hugs
ReplyDeleteKikka
Like the idea of light coming, yet private. I think it would be fun to have to peek inside . Completely open seems to look unfinished.I
ReplyDeleteHmm, hard to say. On one hand this clear roof makes possible to see what is inside. But then again maybe you could use roof you like more and just don't glue it firmly to the trailer? I wish your husband safe operation and fast recovery.:) Hugs
ReplyDeleteI would also find it hard to choose the roof. It is nice to be able to see into it it is so wonderful. I will keep your husband in my prayers and hope all goes well and wish him a speedy recovery.Take care.
ReplyDeleteHugs Maria
I like the mat one, it looks better. You have the front open to see inside, so it is not necessary to look through the roof
Besos:-)
ReplyDeleteI must say I love being able to look inside and admire the interior, love the light coming in. It is a beautiful piece of work. Hope your husbands surgery goes really well, blessings, Pam in Norway xx
Besos.
Hello Dora

ReplyDeleteI like the clear roof so you can see everything
I wish your husband recover quick after operation
Greetings Xandra
First of all I hope all goes well with your husband's treatment... sad that you will miss the miniaturist's meeting but of course this is no thing to even think about, your husband's health is of course more important. About your trailer roof - I see your dilemma and I think both versions have their pros. I think I would go for the clear one because it would be somehow a shame if the lovely interior could not be seen with all its details anymore. But I have a question - isn't it possible to do both? The white one as some kind of lid above the clear one? So you would have a realistic look while the trailer sits on your shelf and could take off the roof when you want to look inside...

The question about your roof is a tricky one. I like the way it is with the mat roof, but the second solution is good too because you can see inside. I think I'll go for the mat roof in the ned, it looks really finished.
ReplyDeleteI hope your husband will be fine.

I agree that the transparent roof is an excellent solution, it will be easier to see the inside!
ReplyDeleteHi Drora! First of all your husband's treatment goes above everything and yes, Drora it's sad that you'll miss the miniaturists meeting of course, but your husband's health is of course more important. Regarding the trailer roof: I agree with Birgit, so I would make two roofs, one transparent and the other like a sort of lid above the transparent one. And now I'll copy her: this way you would have a realistic look while the trailer sits on your shelf and could take off the roof when you want to look inside.
ReplyDeleteWarm hugs, Ilona
ReplyDeleteHello Drora, please visit my blog! :) Hugs, Melli
Bssss
