Hello dear readers,
After some bad days of flue, I'm here again. The followers list (Those little squares) has disappeared from
my sidebar. No matter how hard I try to get it back it's still gone. I'm very disappointed, as there were already 591 followers and I am preparing a giveaway for 600. This will be impossible until a miracle brings back the list to my sidebar.
Has anyone attempted to make the easy garden chairs? If you did, you know you have extra jute left overs to make more miniatures. What a metamorphosis for the gross jute stuff! It becomes quite delicate when cut diagonally. I made table legs as well as bags and am going to show you how easy to do the are. In fact, there are many other things you can make, picnic boxes, sewing boxes, etc, just use your imagination. Here are some of my attempts with step by step photos. Of course I'd love to see what you make.
Table No. 1
The top of this little table is a jewelry finding. It used to be an earring.
Table No. 2
Same method. The top is a wooden circle which I found at the 1 Shekel stores. By the way, they raised their prices and it's now called 1.50 Shekel stores.
Bags.
After they are stuck you cut around them, the way you do when you make paper jugs.
Here are the end results.
And here is a little sewing box I made ages ago, using the same materials and method. The only difference is that it is lined inside.
Wishing all me dear readers good health and a creative time. Blessings.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful work, Drora! I really love the table & sewing box. I'm sorry you were sick, but happy to hear you are feeling better. Blogger has been messing up lately, but if you go into your blog layout page you should be able to add a gadget. It is called Google+ followers, I think. I hope this helps. Take care, Lisa

And I really keep my fingers crossed that Jennifer will be able to help you - sometimes these problems heal themselves after some day, it's not always easy with Blogger but on the other hand... they don't take any money... Glad you are over the flu Drora, I have frequently had my reading list show up empty, as well as many other little problems, I think blogspot has issues. I will have to buy some jute, the little sewing basket is delightful, I think the lining really brings it to life, and yes I agree, I also think jute has many possibilities, thanks for sharing your tutorial. Love your storage solution for the mini pottery, and the gifts you received. I had to laugh at the marzipan resting in peace on your hips, and the beheaded santa! We used to have a large one, and we have a wooden santa that hangs from a thread that we no longer put up, because it looks like he has been hanged! :D I really like Dalit's pieces, the rocking horse is lovely, it reminds me of the origami that was left about in the film Bladerunner. Pass on my compliments to Dalit :)
ReplyDeleteGood ideas!! The tables and all other look wonderful! I also love this fabric..endless things to do with it!:) Best wishes,Anne

I'm so happy you feel better Drora! Don't worry about the followers boxes being gone. I had the same problem the other day and then it just came back on its own. Blogger has often problems that are then fixed by themselves. Thank you so much for this tutorial! It's amazing what you did with the jute, first the chairs, wonderful and now these cute miniatures. Perfect Drora!! I love all the items you made. If I can find some jute I would love to try it myself. Thanks a million for sharing these tutorials. Big Hugs!
ReplyDeleteTe han quedado perfectos, quedan preciosos esos cestos y esa mesa. Gracias por el tutorial. Los seguidores volverán a aparecer, no te preocupes. Blogger hace estas cosas a veces. Un abrazo
