Dollhouse and Real life Elephants

Hello dear readers,

I didn't mean to start another collection, but somehow little elephants kept arriving by courtesy of Jennifer, Birgit, Carolyn , family and friends. I have them temporary displayed on a makeshift structure.



I have a great respect for elephants.  These huge animals can be tender and loving, especially with their young cubs. I would like to share with you a video clip, one of the best I have seen.

    I too love elephants Drora! Your miniature collection is really lovely, it's nice to see them all displayed together. My RL elephant ornaments were bought in Sri Lanka 60 years ago by my father, they are carved ebony. Of course I have miniature elephants in my dollhouse :) and roomboxes. I like thoem with the trunk hanging down as that is how my ebony elephants have their trunks

    Nice collection! I like elephants, and it seams many people does, I have seen quite a few in both mini and bigger size (collectibles that is, not real size elephants ;) )

    I too get elephants and have bought some myself when I was planning the palace. Now they sit on my shelf too with nothing to do. And I am not even talking about the teeny ones :). In my part of the world, (Asia) there are many elephant orphanages.So many of the different breeds are facing extinction. :(
