I don't think Mr. Dale Chihuli has to worry about competition from me. I tried to make ornaments in his style, following Heather's tutorial and this is the result. Of course it could have been better most of my permament markers, except the red and yellow, were dry and almost useless.
I found this little display case with the little ceramic ornaments inside, in a pop shop. I bought is inspite of the fact that it's badly made and wasn't cheap but miniature furnitures are not easy to find here. Together with other pieces, like the tea cart, it can go into an auction scene or a store selling second hand merchandise. (I have plans from here to eternity.)
The doily on the tea cart is one of my first crochet attempts It is very simple and made from white sewing thread. The silverware need urgent polishing.
I wish you a wonderful Sunday with all my blessings.

They look really good. Very modern, maybe you could make a modern art gallery for them to be in.
ReplyDeleteWatch out, Dale Chihuly! Your pieces turned out beautifully, Drora! I think they would look great on white cube stands in a mini museum. Thanks for showing your recent purchase, too. I'm glad to see that there are at least a few miniatures in Israel. :-) xo Jennifer
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work, Drora. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI think they turned out just beautiful, I love the red one looks like a ball of fire ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Drora! I think your ornaments are beautiful! ?Thanks for mentioning Heather's blog. I went and joined as a follower. I like your little doily. The little display case was such a lucky find. I would not have hesitated to pick it up either!
ReplyDeleteTus experimentos con esa técnica de Heater son preciosos.
ReplyDeleteY esas cosas tan hermosas que has encontrado, el mostrador y el carrito con el juego de té son una hermosura.
Besos y muchas gracias por la explicación.
It's great with many plans. Your doily is very well done, it must have been difficult with such a thin thread. Your ornaments are also very beautiful.

Hello Drora! I think your ornatments look perfect!!! And your doily is very delicate, that is a kind of work I don´t have the patience for and I really admire when someone can do it! I also like the display cabinet, you could do a lot of things to make it more to your own taste like wallpapering the back inside or adding paint and decorations on the outside. Will be fun to see what you will make out of it :-) Have a wonderful Sunday! Hugs, Sandra
ReplyDeleteHello Drora,
ReplyDeleteYou glassware is real art
What a pity that in your country miniatures are not easy for sale
Do you buy sometimes something via a webshop?
In the Netherlands we are lucky with dollhousefairs, dollhouse stores and webshops for our hobby
Happy Sunday and greetings
Xandra

Dear Drora, your glass ware looks great, the colors are like the real glass ware. That cabinet has much possibilities for a great makeover, don't you think? The teacart is wonderful, now you have to clean the silver :D it looks a bit dim like you said. Have a great sunday too. Warm hugs from a snow white Nederland, we got more then 10 cm snow last night! Ilona

ReplyDeleteYour Chihuli is looking good Drora! And I love your little doily! This is something I will never learn to do!:0 the pieces of furniture are nice, I guess if you think they could be better you can always re-make them.:) But they do look good anyway. Hugs

Oh, but the red ornament is so beautiful! Have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteI can see it right before me: A beautiful exhibition scene with lots of stunning glass art shown and with a sign saying "The art of Drora" - would be great. You've done a wonderful job with that ornaments, bowls, objects. And your new purchases are lovely, I'm sure you will turn that cabinet into something very special.

Hmmmm...I think Dale has to look over his shoulder now because you're gaining on him with these lovely ornaments:) They came out beautifully, especially the bluish-green one. I also like your early attempts at crocheting and think the doily looks great!
ReplyDeleteMa sei stata bravissima, hai fatto un gran lavoro con il vetro, io non saprei nemmeno da che parte iniziare!!!

Oh yes, your mini version is competition alright! Very well done, Drora. And thank you for that email. The human art is mindblowing. I love everybit of it even though I could only see it on my handphone!
ReplyDeleteIt is also not easy to look for dollhouse furniture here but I was lucky to find many things I can bash and they are super cheap. Ithink that makes the whole experience even more fun. Drora, I think these pieces are great for bashing! Especially the cupboard.
I am so happy they turned out! The green one is so pretty. It is so fun to see what you did
ReplyDeleteYes, I think this is also very good and look good, especially if you've done for the first time, beautiful colors with this glass, and you have buy a nice box and tea trolley and crocheted with sewing thread!! amazing blessings to you
