I built me a kitchen cupboard. Maybe not the finest one but I am happy with the results.
There were a few miniature blue glass pieces, two teapots I made from white and blue lined beads, two vases I made from Chinese beads, a ceramic vase I made, a painted shell and several ceramics my daughter made. Now they are all displayed here.
The box is the one my ipad came in. I found a frame which fits it. The wallpaper, in its earlier life, was a shopping bag.
Now that I see the photo I think I'll add short legs to the cupboard.
Maybe a wall hanging or clock, there is too much empty space on top.
I'm not sure about the color of the frame. Shall I leave it as it is... I'm getting used to it. Your advice or suggestion is welcome.
As always, I'm happy to extend a warm welcome to two more followers

Dear Drora
ReplyDeleteI love everything about this cupboard! you are so talented ! the white and blue teapots you made are magnificent
Best & Hugs
Neomi.
What a lovely little scene - and what a clever way to recycle! What a nice way to show all those beautiful miniatures. I think you're right about the legs for the shelf and some addition like a clock for the wall, but I would suggest leaving the frame as it is. Yellow wouldn't usually be the first choice with these colours, but sometimes the unexpeted or the unusual are the things that catch our eyes...

Muchos besos amiga
The room is beautiful, Drora! I love all of the beautiful blue things together. Your Chinese vases are so lovely, and your daughter's ceramics are too. I love your photographs too! :-) Jennifer
ReplyDeleteDrora, I have to disagree. This is the finest! Your teapots are especially lovely. And I would leave the colour of the frame as it is . It complements the blue, very nicely.
ReplyDeleteAnd maybe a clock or some stitched kitchen motive with a blue vase or teapot and a yellow frame would look nice above the shelf. Have a nice Sunday.
Christine

Beautiful piece! Great job. I need to start making little room boxes for my pieces taht need a home.
ReplyDeleteI am not a big fan of yellow - to me it drew my eye more to the frame than the beauty within. But what do I know? Heck, I have an orange house!!
Not only this is a great idea , it looks great. I have saved my box from my iPad and now I know what to do with it!thank you!!!kisses

It's a very lovely scene, I like the white cabinet in front of a darker wall (lovely pattern, and that for a bag). I would paint the frame in pink, as the flowers, so it still is in contrast with the blue and white of the scene, but comes back in it. If you add something white on the wall, that could have a hint of pink as well.

Love all you blue glass vases, and the roombox is a beautiful place to show them. ☺♥
ReplyDeleteDrora, it's a delightful scene! I love blue and white. I agree, perhaps a clock or something on the wall. I do like the yellow frame but I think I'd include maybe some yellow flowers as someone suggested (maybe yellow and white daisies in a white or yellow vase?) and would possibly include yellow in the clock too - just little touches though. Beautiful work, and great recycling. Hugs, Sandie
