Elvira's giveaway prize

Hello all,

I have been very lucky to win a wonderful giveaway from Elvira.  It arrived, beautifully packed and I must say, the photos do not give enough credit to the way  these beautiful miniatures actually are. Every single item is simply perfect for my shabby chic table.

Thank you dear Elvira.  I'm very happy to have been the winner of your giveaway and already found use for your beautiful gifts.

For all the cat lovers among us, and I know there are many, here is a lovely link to delightful cats
paintings by Oxana Zaika.

If you are lucky to live near enough and be able to visit here is a link to Viti's block and details of the dollhouse miniatures fair in Malaga, Spain.  Viti has a beautiful giveaway in her blog.

I wish you all a lovely Spring weekend and blessings

Bread from air-dry clay

Hello dear readers,

Most of you already know how to make bread from polymer clay, some probably know how to make it from cold porcelain clay.  For those who don't, I'll try to show here step by step with hopes that the photos speak for themselves.

The clay is kneaded thoroughly with a tiny bit of white and a tiny bit of yellow oil paints

Make a loaf from the little ball in the above photo.

Looks large but don't worry it shrinks about 30%.

The bread is being prepared for the "baked" look.

With a soft brush, you brush on powder from artist's chalks.

The buns are made the same way.

Beigels  - You cut them between sheets of clinging plastic and then make a hole in the middle.

Waiting to dry out.

Easy, isn't it?

Blessings to all of you

Playing with my self-made air drying clay

Hello dear readers,

Here are the items created at our meeting with the local miniaturists.

We shabby painted pieces of furniture.  Mine was this table which I had in stock.  All the
food items were created with the clay Limor showed us how to make.  It takes over 24 hours for the items to shrink to their final size.

I'm not sure you can see it from this photo, but the cup cake comes with its own "paper" cup.

.

At the end of the meeting, Sarit, handed each  of us  a cup cake mold  which she
created.  Such gestures prove my belief that miniaturists are very generous people.

Gathering courage, I made my first batch of clay.  "Baked" stuff.

I also gave it at try to make two molds, following tutorials from the internet.  I used silicone chaulk
from a tube, cornstarch and a little coloring.  The molds are flexible but I still have to experiment
for a better result and when I do, I'll let you know how to.

Blessings to you all
