Dear readers
It's me, Baalatova. Believe me, it wasn't me who sent the terrible heat wave that suppresses any desire to create something new to be shown here. I do everything in my power to make Drora work. She just finished reading a stack of books, practiced playing the electric organ, received a heap of plastic vials collected by the women at the day center, and will finally start to make something out of them.
I took care of the air conditioner. It works full-time, and because of my spells, there is no electricity cut off in our area. As you see, Solly and Kitty are in my good hands. They don't complain about the heat like my lazy Drora.
My advice to you all is to spend as little as possible time outdoors, keep cool, and don't forget to drink enough water.
Have a pleasant weekend with blessings.
Baalatova's comment about your being lazy sounds a bit unfair. Extreme heat easily consumes all energy even if you are able to stay in an air-conditioned space most of the time. Wishing you a nice weekend!
ReplyDeleteThe heat takes the energy right out of me, too, Drora! Even God rested on the seventh day, lol! Baalatova's opinion is no one's business but her own. Trust yourself, rest in front of a fan and let your joints recuperate! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteCreo que este año el calor nos está dejando a todos fuera de servicio. Buenas recomendaciones las de Balatova.
ReplyDeleteI know I can count on my own resident magicians to protect me against a witch's revenge so I can honestly say: Dear Baalatova, this time you're totally mistaken and yes, as Millimari already said, unfair and not only a bit. I would even say you're really nasty... but I know it's the heat speaking out of your mouth and not a bad heart. In fact Drora seems to be very busy keeping herself occupied, reading many books with a head and brain suffering from the heat and even practising the organ again during a heatwave has my fullest admiration and respect. When it's hot around here the only thing I am able to do is complaining about the heat! ;O) Luckily for Drora you're kind enough to put a protection spell on her air condition not to go out of energy... as I said, it's only the heat making you say grumpy stuff while the things you do still come from your golden heart. And I'm very glad that you keep good watch on the little ones who always have to suffer a bit more from the heat because of their fur.
ReplyDeleteAnd dear Drora, keep your head high... and cool of course and most of all take good care of the whole Drora! And have loads of fun with the plastic pieces - your fellows collected quite an amount of them and I know they will love to turn it into awesome planters under your guidance.
Hugs
Birgit - who has no reason to complain - we had a terribly hot June but now an ever raining July with temperatures around 20° - when it comes to the temperatures totally my kind of weather and when it comes to the rain the kind of weather nature and my garden like. But in fact we have so much rain these days that even the festival of Wacken gets in danger as the camping spots are flooded - and this means something as mud belongs to Wacken as it belonged to Woodstock. Oh, and if you never heard of it because you like of course totally different music - Wacken is a small village at our West Coast hosting every year the biggest Heavy Metal festival in the world. ;O)
Don't worry! Just send the heat over to Texas if you can. We've already got a lot so a little more won't hurt us! We're used to it. (We'll complain about it but we'll adjust.) Have a lovely day!
