Spring cleaning and recyclin

Hello again,

Only a few days left before we celebrate our Pessah (Passover) Holiday.  I can't see the logic of feverish house cleaning before this holiday when we are supposed to eat Mazzot, (dry sheets of crackers} which crumble easily and makes a great mess. Imagine a home full of children scattering  crumbles for 7 days. Common sense tells me that better clean when the holidays are over.  But tradition requires a clean and sparkling home for Pessah and who am I to oppose it.

While doing my part, cleaning and putting order in my work room, I found these little Pizza box-
separating plastic tables.  Before throwing them away, I had a sudden idea to try and recycle them.
This is my first attempt of making eggshell mosaic.  Now that I've done it, I know it could look
better if I used a layer of Jesso instead of tacky glue. One learns from experience.  By the way, this could be a good occupation for the young ones, turning trash to treasure.

It will make a nice garden table.  I want to add a mosaic bench but I have to get back to my spring
cleaning.  There are so many things you could do with eggshell mosaic but alas, everyday life demanding work leaves little free time to enjoy doing it.

Blessings to you all

Gifts from Amary

Hello dear readers.

A wonderful parcel containing the most delightful little Tilda among other beautiful items arrived from the very dear and lovely Amary.  I saw Amary's Tilda dolls on several blogs and fell in love with them.  I was so pleased when Amary agreed to swap.  I only hope she will be happy as I am with the gifts she is going to get.

Meet Fingerella  who is a very graceful young lady, beautifully dressed.  The moment I saw her I knew  she'll be perfect for the fantasy house.  See how perfect the chair suits her.  I'm going to
make a bedroom with bed, dressing table, etc. just for her.  Later on there will be servants to work for her. All in due course.

Fingerella was not the only gift Amary sent.

A gorgeous tulip pot hand made by Amary.

A beautiful wreath and two mugs.

A rug and ribbons.  THANK YOU DEAR AMARY FOR ALL THESE BEAUTIFUL GIFTS WHICH  I'LL TREASURE.

So now you know who the lady of the house is. No one guessed the right answer.  Instead, I am planning a Giveaway for all my followers, old and new.  Stay tuned, you'll soon know what it'll be.

A warm welcome to my new follower Blanca Martin.  Thank you for following.  Please let me know if you have a blog I can visit and follow back.

I wish you all a pleasant weekend and blessings.

Seashells and flowers

Hello dear readers

I am still here.  The weather was too nice to stay home and craft.  Among other outdoor activities, I went "fishing"  for for shells again.  I needed the tiny shells that can be easily found inside the water see my tutorial how to collect them (Here).

Finally, after several days of pure laziness, I started crafting again.  Simply couldn't resist making some flowers to "plant" in my new glazed and fired flower pots.

The town squares are blooming with colorful pansies.  I had to try making some , as well as
daisies geraniums and one strawberry plant.  Very soon the strawberries season will be over.

The stand is made by the same method as the shoe rack.  I painted it brown to make my flower pots
stand out.

Remember my Fantasy house?  A new tenant has come to live in it.  No, it's not Balatova, the ageless
witch.  Poor Balatova had an accident.  On her return from the last witches convention, she fell off
her broom and broke a leg.  The Skellies are very worried and hope she'll be well and back before Easter.

I'll let you meet the beautiful new tenant very soon.  Meantime you can just guess who it is.  There
we be a prize for the  right guess.

A warm welcome to my new follower Kristinka.  Thank you for following.

Have a wonderful weekend with my blessings.
