Hello dear readers
Among the 15 pieces elected for the exhibition, are 5 of my shop facades. I created these shop windows so that they can either be hung on a wall or stand on a shelf. They are already several years old and required thorough cleaning.
I had to replace the transparent window "glass" of the tailor equipment shop which turned yellow with age. This was more complicated than making a new box. Some of the stones broke down. Fortunately I saved
replacements.
I have to replace two more windows and I really hate doing it. Will show them to you when I finish the job.
The potter and jeweler shops only had to be cleaned up.
I am impatient to start assembling Simona house but have to work on the boxes that go to the exposition
first as well as make a few gifts for friends.
A warm welcome to my new follower Oleg
Blessings to all of you.

ReplyDeleteHello Drora,
ReplyDeleteHow exciting it must be to get the houses ready for an exhibition. they are just lovely and good luck changing that window.
Big hug,

These shop facades are stunning... I really like the idea to have a whole "mall", each similar in style, but with different building types, the visitors of the exhibitions will be amazed for sure. Good luck with the disturbing with the annoying task of changing the windows - but you know one has to do what one needs to do... ;O)

I've never seen them before, Drora. They are lovely and worth the repair. Even though it's not the nicest job. :-)

I'm also looking forward to see how you will transform the house but obviously you first have to do prepare for the exhibition, then make those gifts and maybe then you will have some time left for the house! :) :) Big hugs!

Hi Drora! I think your shop fronts have stood the test of time very well, of course there's always going to be a little bit of maintenance but it will be worth it. I'm so happy that a whole bunch of people are going to be able to appreciate your hard work, even if that work was a few years ago!
ReplyDeleteKind regards, Brian.

Nice work. Hugs, Melli
ReplyDeleteThese are so sweet and I love the fact they can be displayed on a wall. This is an ever growing problem for me, where to put all the dollhouse projects. For this reason I tend to keep things small and am working on some shadow boxes at the moment. Good luck with the exhibition. Mini hugs, Carol xxx
ReplyDeleteI love your shop facades, especially the pottery one.
