A Spring giveaway

Hello All,

Today is the last day of March, the weather is nice and spring is very near, so I decided, in gratitude to all my followers, to offer a new giveaway.

The rules, you already know, are to be a follower, old or new, and leave a comment on this post to let me know that you like this giveaway.  You can, of course be kind and put a link on your blog to spread the news but this is upto to you.

The ceramic pitcher is my daughter's work, the flower pots, flowers and mugs were made by me.

A very warm welcome to Tatiana, who only recently opened her blog and has some very creative ideas. http://mylittlelittledream.blogspot.com/

I wish you all a lovely weekend.  Blessings

Wild flowers

I tried to make some anemones.  Our fields, this year, were red, covered with these beautiful wild flowers which are prohibited to pick.  Nilly, my daughter, made me some ceramic pitchers which I filled with wild flowers.
Looking at the photos, I think I'll do them over using silk paper because the paper I used is too thick.
I made the mugs and flower pots which Nilly glazed and fired together with the pitchers.  I'll ask Nilly to make me flower vases which will look better with the flowers than the pitchers.

I am pleased the way the mugs and pots came out.

This is how our fields look.  Isn't it a beautiful sight?

Here is a warm welcome to two new followers.  I am very grateful that you chose to follow this blog.

Jewelry Findings

My trip to Tel-Aviv was worthwhile.  I found the bead and jewelry craft shop half the size it used to be.  It seems that due to recession business was slack and they closed the jewelry tools section.  At least, after a lot of rummaging, I found heart shaped frames in two sizes, the square ones were gone.  I also found some large, clear plastic beads which can serve as "glass" plates for cakes or hanging kitchen lamps.

Here are photos of my experiments with these pieces.  I made dressing-table trays  and more boxes.  The boxes can be filled with cookies or chocolates as well as jewelry. I had fun making powder boxes, nail polish bottles, perfume bottles, etc. to fill the trays.  The perfume bottles are inspirations from Jennifer (www.plushpussycat.com.) and Maria Angeles (http://nipuntonicom.blogspot.com/), not as beautiful as the ones I received from you and treasure, but pretty enough.

The cake is on the bead I mentioned.  It will look better with a  white crocheted doily underneath. Another experiment I do now.

Can't decide which I like better, the black or the white one.  Next I'll try other colors or perhaps decoupage....  The tiny goblets I put together from earrings pieces.

I am thrilled and happy to welcome new followers and am very grateful to you for finding my blog:

Rosa Maria's giveaway (2)

In my previous post, I forgot to mentions Rosa Maria's blog.

http://contrastes-rosamaria.blogspot.com/

Thank you again dear Rosa Maria.

Rosa Maria's giveaway

Yesterday, our postlady, who is now one of the people I best love to see, brought me these precious gifts.

To show you how tiny these precious doilies, bookmark and flowers are, I took another shot with a match.
As you can see, the flowers are smaller than the match head.
And the packing too is very lovely. There were two postcards attached, showing some of the most beautiful sites in the town of Burgos.

Anyone with the slightest knowledge of lacemaking can appreciate the exquisite workmanship of these doilies and bookmark.  THANK YOU ROSA MARIA! I feel so fortunate to have won your generous giveaway.

In my next post I'll tell you about my finds at the bead and jewelry findings craft store in Tel-Aviv.  I am experimenting with good results which I'll show in my next post soon.

Blessings

Jewels boxes

Last week I made some necklace sets, this week I made boxes they can be laid in.  I am rather pleased with the results and want to share them with you.

Hope you like them.  They are made of jewelry findings.  Next week I plan to visit the beads and jewelry findings craft shop in Tel-Aviv.  I want to find more of these gold plated little frames and make more boxes.  I love the heart shaped ones most.

I want to extend my arms with a very warm hug and welcome to my new followers

Swap with Maria Angeles

Today our post lady brought me Maria Angeles' beautiful swap gifts.  I wish my photos could give them more justice but can assure you they are just fabulous, especially the photo album which is amazing.

THANK YOU MARIA ANGELES!!! http://nipuntonicom.blogspot.com/

Also today, the sun is shining and we celebrate PURIM, a joyful holiday.  Masks and masquerades on the street, carnivals and music.  Real fun.  It's the second day of lovely sunshine and I hope it will continue.  Later, we'll have a family meeting to see what the children are wearing for Purim.

Here is just a cute photo in the spirit of Purim.

Happy Purim and Happy Women's Day!

Mini Jewelry

Our winter this year is unusually cold.  The rains which are plentiful are very welcome but the cold is really bad.  We are not well prepared for this cold.  My frost blisters are back although I wear warm gloves when we go out but still my fingers are red and swolen.  I  did manage to do some miniatures.  I can assure you that these pieces look much better than what came out in the photos.

To make these necklaces I used cheap earrings, found at the one shekel store, and some tiny nail decorating stones.  It is funny the way I buy earrings by the dozens, when personally I do not wear ones and my ears are not  pierced.

It is unbelievable how many miniatures I found on keyrings. Earrings, like jewelry findings have so many possibilities.

Now,  I am thinkin of makin little card boxes for each set of necklace and earrings and maybe a brooche as well.

A very warm welcome to my new follower,  thank you so much for following.
